Meantime T-Shirt

Mike Leigh’s 1983 film “Meantime” is about a London family living on the dole during Margaret Thatcher’s early 80s recession. The two sons in the family, Colin and Mark, bum around their local tower block, scrounging money for drinks, listening to punk music, and trying to find a purpose in life when they can’t work and earn money. A perfect slice of the most bleak social realism from Leigh, with fantastic performances from a young Gary Oldman as well as Tim Roth, Phil Daniels, and Alfred Molina.
