JL Carr's bucolic masterpiece "A Month In The Country" is one of my favourite books of all time. A recent WWI vet is sent to his reluctant hosts in Oxgodby, Yorkshire, to restore a mural in their church over the course of a month- and while restoring the painting and getting to know the locals, the shellshocked ex-soldier begins to rebuild his sense of purpose. The first edition art is celebrated here with this tribute shirt.
